Feedback and New Features
Wow, it's been a wild ride! We want to sincerely thank all of our supporters and users for helping us have an amazing launch!
As Reid Hoffman famously said, "If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you’ve launched too late". Our initial version of the product was basic but functional. There was a lot more we wanted to add but we knew that it was more important to launch and get feedback and validation. We wanted to spend our time adding things we knew users wanted rather than adding what we thought they might want. We've gotten lots of great feedback since then and we are excited to announce several new features that our users have asked for.
Now you can easily share agenda items with your team mates. All you have to do is click the button to the right of a note and click Share. Sharing a note will notify the other attendee about it so they have a chance to prepare if necessary. Attendees can also add their own shared agenda items so you can work together to build a shared agenda. Notes you don't share will remain private so you can keep sensitive material to yourself if you'd like. Attendees will also receive briefings before 1-on-1s with the shared agenda.
Sometimes you can't cover everything in a 1-on-1 or you have a recurring agenda item that may span weeks or months. Now you can turn a note into a Follow Up that persists until you mark it as done. To do this, just click the button to the right of the note and select Follow Up. Use Follow Ups so you don't forget whenever you have something you want to check in on for next time.
Every briefing sent is now saved in your history so you can go back to review what you discussed at any point in time. This is helpful if whether you just want to review last week's discussion or if you want to review all your notes for someone to help prepare for a performance review. Just type "history for @user".
Last but not least, we've given the interface a friendlier and more informative redesign to support all these new features. You can visually see the state of different notes, have more context around when follow ups were first added, and the messaging is more helpful and intuitive. We also greatly improved the "help" command.
Again, we want to thank our users for their incredible feedback and support thus far. We've still got lots more to come so stay tuned!
